- warranty extension available for up to 10 years
- Advantage of direct irrigation to roots of plants
- No evaporation loss
- Up to 70% of the water is saved
- Retrospective upgrade of a septic tank to a sewage treatment system using the Aquachamp system.
The Aquachamp is ideally designed to upgrade a 2 chamber septic tank to a 3 chamber treatment plant, such that the treated liquid effluent can be discharged directly to ditch or stream, thus negating the need for a soakaway. Typically this solution can resolve the problem of a blocked soakaway by the simple introduction of the Aquachamp into a third installed chamber with piped effluent to a water course.
Basic Information
Activated Sludge Sewage Treatment system basic information.
- The SBR process is an activated sludge process.
- The container is a tank, which is subdivided in 3 chambers.
- The clarification process is based on aeration of the sludge-water mix. The aeration takes about 6 hours.
- The next step is a 2 hour break. During this time the water is totally still. This causes the sludge to settle at the bottom of the chamber.
- The resulting process leaves two water layers in the aeration chamber (3rd chamber). The lower layer consists of the activated sludge, the upper layer is the treated clear water.
- Finally the water is pumped and can flow into the receiving waters.
- Storage of the clear water for irrigation is also possible.
