Boreholes

Following a positive geological survey and the subsequent successful dowsing for water SCL will drill a borehole to an appropriate depth to locate a sustainable supply.

Borehole depths will vary in construction depending upon the geology but when completed a pump will be inserted near the bottom of the borehole and a flow test conducted to establish the sustainability of the water supply.

This water supply can be used for garden irrigation or, with filtration, the possibility exists to supply potable water to the property for general household use including drinking.

For every customer who switches to their own source, there is saving to the mains water supply. Generally boreholes are drilled to a minimum depth of 40 metres or to a depth where there is an adequate supply to meet the users requirements. In general terms most water can be treated economically to meet potable water standards.
